Philosophy

Our philosophy.

Well the simple answer, probably the one that you don’t want to hear is that We Don’t Know!

Yep! That’s right, fixing all the technical stuff in your website may or may not make a difference, it should make a huge difference in theory but until we implement those changes and see the results in honest truth we can’t be 100% sure that it will.

We are a new business starting late 2022, as of yet we don’t have data to prove what we do will make a difference, we can only go off what others have done in the past and hopefully get the same or even better results. But even then as every website serves a different market and/or customer base, we have to look at each website with fresh eyes.

Speed Optimisation Case Study

There was a recent case study by Moz on this subject, but when I tell people that they need to reduce their image sizes, especially for mobile users I can feel their eyes roll to the back of their heads and my advice is often ignored!

But if we don’t know for sure we need to look at the KPIs before and after implementation, in the Moz test case the results spoke for themselves…

The implementation started in July 2020 and was monitored for 12 months they saw a new user increase of 32%, a phone call increase of 47%, and an increase in quote requests of 63% with a revenue of increase of 55%/60% compared to 2019/2020.

Their speed optimization started in July 2020. Soon after, they saw improvement in rankings for non-branded keywords that already ranked in the top 20 positions. The client saw a 32% increase in new users, a 47% increase in phone calls, and a 63% increase in free quote requests in a year-over-year comparison of 2021 to 2020. 2021 saw a 55%+ increase in revenue over 2019 and over 60% in comparison to 2020.

Now that’s what I call a case study! By simply resizing images and looking at what was causing bottlenecks in the site, sometimes just doing the boring stuff can make a big win!

Holistic Approach

We believe in looking at the whole picture, the majority of people will inherit blinkers when looking at their own website, they will understand it, what links to where and how to navigate it etc but for new visitors this might not be as ‘obvious’.

We are going to have to be a little selfish when looking to accept potential new projects, as we want to do work that will make a positive difference, for the clients and their customers.

We want our clients shouting from the rooftops after working with us!

Performing a Tech Audit and implementing those changes on a site that needs a total rebuild/restructure is not in the clients best interest and doesn’t comply with our long term goals of being a reputable business. We would rather help those clients choose a better solution to their problems.
